Who is eligible to appear for JEE Advanced?
The JEE Advanced examination allows entry only to candidates who cleared JEE Main and obtained one of the top 2.5 lakh all-category placement ranks. During the admission process to JEE Advanced candidates need to fulfill various eligibility standards that combine age qualifications with examination limits and history of IIT enrollment.
How many times can a candidate appear for JEE Advanced?
Students may sit for JEE Advanced two times within the period of two consecutive years.
What is the exam pattern of JEE Advanced?
Every candidate in JEE Advanced must complete both papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) as mandatory sections. The 3-hour examination includes multiple-choice and numerical answer type and match-the-following questions which originate from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
Is it necessary to attempt both Paper 1 and Paper 2?
